It's a snow day here, and then some! Actually at this very moment, as I am typing, the sun is shining. But... the temperature has dropped due to the storm that rolled through, and the wind is just howling - my guess is that the wind chill is in the minus something degrees out there. A true snow day, just like I remember them from my childhood.
I remember bundling all up and going outside on a snow day - that was just wonderful! Do you remember the smell of wet wool? Coming inside after rolling around out in the snow and having the time of your life? I do - happy happy memories!
I always have a "snow day" list of things to do, but today, I'm thinking tops on my list is reading, napping, and maybe writing a couple of letters.

How I remember those days! If I was really lucky, one would land on my January birthday(always averaged to be the coldest week of the year) My hubby just made it out on last plane from Moline Il yesterday. They had a police escort to runway, with de-ice truck doing it's thing 2nd time on runway. The first time at gate failed. All this while TV news filmed it. Then off to fridgid Denver only to miss flight. So sat for hours, took last flight got home to windy and somewhat cold Phoenix. His day started at 5am. Just glad he's not there stuck for weekend. Happy superbowl weekend.
